Kristen Chenoweth at Walt Disney Concert Hall

February 26th, 2006
Conductor: Andrew Lippa
Special Guest: Alanis Morissette
Walt Disney Concert Hall, Downtown LA, went with Jane

Kristin is an amazing singer and performer. We'd seen her live on stage before of course, but it was a wonderful opportunity to hear her concert program. Most surprising was the duet on "For Good" from Wicked, with Alanis Morissette. Their voices actually blended; sounded great texturally. Made us wonder if Alanis is considering a turn as Elphaba?

Kristin also hinted at being part of Andrew Lippa's new musical project, Betty Boop (yes, the cartoon character).

We were grateful that she kept the show "non-denominational" and that we got to hear her sing the songs that we have come to love her voice for ~ Broadway. That is why we paid to hear her, and we were not disappointed. Her encore of the famous aria from Candide was amazing. Just a phenominally clear and lyric voice. We had a thoroughly wonderful evening.
